Google Sues Over 150 Million AI Scam Texts as Study Debunks 'Prompt and Pray' AI Deployment

Google is suing a Chinese cybercrime group over an AI-powered SMS scam that flooded the U.S. with 150 million fraud messages, according to Webpronews.

Enterprises should look beyond "prompt and pray" AI deployment, Forbes reports, citing a study from Glean's Work AI Institute in which 6,000 workers estimated AI automation saves them at least 11 hours every week even though only 13 percent say their organizations are performing significantly better as a result. The study's authors found the successful minority treats AI as a work-design problem rather than a procurement one, and 53 percent of workers say critical information they need to do their jobs is not accessible.

Teachers are increasingly creating their own AI-powered classroom helpers, according to The West.
