UK Invests in AI Training; Skylark Labs Taps Military Leaders for AI Threat Detection
The UK government is rolling out free artificial intelligence training to all workers in an effort to prepare the workforce for rapid technological change and boost economic output by £140 billion ($193 billion) a year, according to Bloomberg.
Technology Secretary Liz Kendall promised the AI training as the government seeks to embrace technology, per Bloomberg.
Skylark Labs, a U.S.-based artificial intelligence company, formed a Defense Advisory Board in March 2025, comprised of former military leaders and defense technology experts, reports TechBullion. The board aims to bring together leaders with decades of leadership experience across military branches, intelligence operations, and defense technology deployment to provide guidance.
According to a 2025 Global Student Survey compiled by Chegg, 80% of students surveyed have used generative AI to support their studies at schools like TWU and UNT.
